The installation took 2 days and involved 54.00m² of flooring and a up and over pallet gate with staircase with mid-landing and handrail across the front.

What is the process Involved getting a mezzanine floor:

If you are happy with your quote , you accept online and this starts the process, we will send a deposit invoice across for 25% we then come to site and take exact measurements for us to create a cad drawing for you We then send the drawing to yourself for sign off once you are satisfied with the layout and details, also if required we will then advise the building control company we use to get that process started for you .

Installation is then booked in with yourself.

Building control will come and see you and advise what is needed i.e., smoke detection, emergency lightening to get a final certificate for the floor issued.

What Building Regulations Are Needed for a Mezzanine Floor:

Your mezzanine floor will require an application to the building control body before starting any work. The application can be sent to either your local authority or a privately approved inspector. Here at Mezz9 we will advise and guide you through the BCB application

. We will provide any drawings and calculations needed to gain approval from the BCB.

Is Planning Permission Needed for a Mezzanine Floor?

In general, planning permission is not necessary when fitting a mezzanine floor. However, in certain cases it may be needed. If your premises include shared parking, or parking that belongs to a local council, permission will be needed before the flooring can be installed.
